This is the part I detest when writing essays for other publications: the "Author Biography." I never know what to say about myself. I suppose I could start off saying that I am a wife. I have been since 2003, although sometimes it feels like yesterday. I learn new things every day about the wonderful man I married.

Up until my second daughter was born, I was a public school teacher. I have taught at a few different schools, ranging from elementary to middle school. My last assignment was teaching math to middle schoolers, which was actually a lot more fun than it sounds. I love inspiring children to learn, but I want to invest more into my family right now. I am currently homeschooling my younger two and having a blast doing so.

I absolutely love being a mommy. Or "Mama" as my oldest daughter used to refer to me. She is the reason I started this blog, and her and her siblings are the reason I continue this blog. I love watching them learn. I love hearing them talk. I love watching them play and explore the world around them. My oldest daughter was born in 2010, the second in 2013, and my baby boy was born in 2015, although I suppose he’s not a baby anymore.

I love to read. I devour fiction novels like candy, although I am starting to branch out more into nonfiction. I do some writing here and there. I have this blog, and I like to submit to other publications from time to time when I think my work will touch a larger audience. I have a few ideas for novels I'd like to write one day. I have jumbled notes and drafts and my dream is to see a novel with my name on it at the public library.

I love naps and quiet days at home. I attempt to garden, despite having no idea what I'm doing. Sometimes things grow. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes I find gigantic zucchini hiding in my garden. I like to take chances in the kitchen and experiment with new recipes. I also enjoy going to the beach, traveling to new places, and learning about all the people around me. I'm a Christ-follower with Jewish roots and a thirst for knowledge. I adore all kinds of chocolate and the kids know the way to my heart is with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and a nap (also an Enneagram 9, if you do that king of thing).

Thank you for coming to read my blog. You are more valuable than you realize.
